Hi All - It's been way too long since our last post in the fall! In this case, no news was good news regarding these past 5 months for Jason. PRAISE GOD!!!
We all have been praying hard these past 4 years for complete healing of Jason's body and for his esophagus to remain open. And guess what? God has granted our requests :) Jason continues to have clean scans and his esophagus has stabilized. Yes you read correctly, his esophagus has stabilized!!!!! He has not had a stretching since this past July 3. What an incredible miracle!!!!!! And such a refreshing break from the hospital! Thank you Jesus!
Jason's next scan will be on March 6th, so please continue to pray for his body to stay cancer free!
What else have we been up to? Well, we had a really busy fall as Jason was traveling for work A LOT. Once mid December rolled around he has been back home with us and boy has it made a difference. So nice to have one on one coverage with the kids - HA!
We really had a fun Dec/Jan. We surprised Taylor and took her to Disney the week of Christmas, while Ty stayed back with family. Thanks Gigi, Mr. Bruce & Dials Family. Then we were able to spend time in Ohio with family after Christmas. So nice to see everyone and spend time with them! And then we returned back home to celebrate Ty's 1 year old birthday and the 3rd anniversary of Jason being cancer free. To say that January 9th is such a sweet, special day for us seems like an understatement!
We have included some pictures below from our travels to enjoy.
On a much more serious note, we wanted to ask for your prayers for my Dad, John Gurney, who was diagnosed with Metastatic Malignant Melanoma this week and now has "A New Race to Run" set out before him. A blog has been created to be the main source of updates on his journey. Please check it out at jgurneyfamily.blogspot.com and sign up for updates to be emailed directly to you. And please share with others who you know would be willing to pray for him and would like updates on his health as well. THANKS in advance for your prayers for Dad and our family!
God has miraculously healed Jason and we know that he can miraculously heal dad too if that is His plan. We need to continue to trust that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
We appreciate your continued love and commitment to pray for our family and for my dad!
With Much Love,
Meg
